Ray Hamm was born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Raised by his grandparents, he was taught the value of education and work. Hard work.
At the age of seven, he was taught to use a chainsaw for the purpose of firewood cutting in order to help keep his family warm during the winter.
After high school, he attended a trade school in Arizona to become a mechanic. While in attendance, he took side jobs for tree companies to support himself while studying.
After trade school, he came back to good ole Klamath Falls prepared to be a mechanic. Instead, he found himself applying for jobs at tree services.
He literally started at the bottom of the tree business, dragging brush and cleaning up after the climbers. He worked his way up to become a crew boss.
He spent many years working for different local tree companies gaining practical, hands-on knowledge and experience. Over many years he has learned how to properly and safely care for and maintain many varieties of trees.
